Sharpen Your Venture Skills at the Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Boot Camp
The BIO Biotechnology Entrepreneurship Boot Camp will return in Boston. Planned for Sunday, May 6, 2007, the program is a comprehensive training course/boot camp for academic investigators interested in creating a new venture around their work.
We are pleased to announce that the CSO Boot Camp founders, Arthur Boni and Stephen Sammut, will return to organize the 2007 program.
The program introduces academic investigators to entrepreneurial principles through modules and panels comprised of successful academic entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, R&D managers, attorneys, technology transfer and licensing professionals, and entrepreneurship professors.
The program includes modules such as:
Stakeholder analysis
Assessment and qualification of academic projects as potential start-ups
What every investigator must know about life science IP
Factoring FDA review into project planning
Reimbursement issues, building the management team
The business plan as a tool and as a document
Making the most of the TLO and business school entrepreneurship centers
Licensing and alliances
Capitalization of the venture and lessons learned
Participation in the CSO Boot Camp requires an additional registration fee.
