Innovation Corridor Poster Sessions

Topics
The objective of the sessions is to cultivate world-class collaborations among academia, early stage research organizations, and industry. Topics will be related to academic research or development effort, which could potentially provide solutions to, or address, unmet needs in biotechnology. Poster abstracts should outline the problem the research or development effort addresses and identify potential commercial markets.

- The opportunity to present a poster displaying your academic research or development efforts to an audience of over 19,000 attendees that will have direct access to Innovation Corridor from the Exhibit Hall, Keynotes, and the Business Forum. Through this forum, innovative ideas will be shared with industry professionals that are actively seeking ground-breaking technology and collaborations with academia and early stage research organizations. These partnerships will enable the biotechnology industry to meet the challenges of today for a more hopeful tomorrow.
- One complimentary registration equivalent to the “Unlimited One-Day Value Pass” granted to the poster presenter and good for the day of their poster presentation only. This registration includes access to all sessions, business forum, exhibit hall, breakfast thought leader session and keynote luncheon (on a space-available basis) and the evening reception for the registered day. This registration is nonrefundable, not transferable and may not be shared.
Only one free registration will be granted, regardless of the number of presenters that will attend. Presenters are encouraged to participate fully in the conference when not presenting.

- The poster abstract will be listed in a sortable database on the 2007 convention web site.
Abstract Submission
Abstract Submission is closed.
Please be prepared to include the following information on your submission form:
- Contact information for the poster’s Author, Presenter, and Public Contact
- The “Author” is the developer of the research that the poster displays. Please list the Author’s name, organization, address, phone, fax and email.
- The “Presenter” is the person who will be present at BIO 2006 to present the poster, all communication from BIO regarding the application and subsequent Innovation Corridor presentation materials will be sent to this person. Please list the Presenter’s name, organization, address, phone, fax and email.
- The “Public Contact” will be published in the Innovation Corridor Poster Sessions Abstract Booklet as the person to be contacted for further information regarding the poster presented, in lieu of the Author or Presenter (if different). Please list the Public Contact’s name, organization, address, phone, fax and email.
- It is not necessary to provide information for three different people, if the same person holds all three responsibilities.
Poster Information
- The Poster Title.
- The Poster Category (chosen from the list).
- The Stage of Development of the research/product being presented (chosen from the list).
- An abstract explaining the poster/research, including its commercial potential as well as the research problem or unmet need it addresses. Please submit the abstract as you would like it to be printed, BIO will not be responsible for editing abstract content.
Submitting Multiple Abstracts, Editing, or Cancelling Submissions
If you would like to submit a change to your application or abstract please return to the Innovation Corridor page of www.bio2007.org/corridor, click the “Submit Abstract” button, log in as an “Existing Poster Submitter,” and use the email and password you created when submitting your abstract(s) to gain access and make edits.

Abstract Review
A committee will review proposals and select presentations for display at the 2007 BIO International Convention. Presenters will receive official notice of acceptance via e-mail beginning in February, 2007. Selected posters will be given one time slot for presentation (either the morning or afternoon session of one of the presentation days).
Once selected, the presenter will receive information on the poster specifications and an information packet containing details on registration and general procedures for the poster presentation.
BIO reserves the right to review and approve or deny any application to present a poster at the 2007 Innovation Corridor Poster Sessions.
Poster Presentation
Posters will be presented, Monday - Wednesday, May 7-9, 2007, at the Innovation Corridor Poster Sessions, located in the North Lobby of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. There will be (6) sessions, two each day, the morning session will run from 9am to 12pm and the afternoon session from 1pm to 4pm. Selected posters will be given one time slot for presentation (either the morning or afternoon session of one of the presentation days).
Presenters will be required to be present at their poster station during the time slot designated for their poster’s display and should be prepared to explain their presented work to the convention attendees. If multiple presenters are involved, only one need be present at a time.
