In addition to the Boston Logan Airport, there are two additonal airports within one hour of downtown Boston.

Boston Logan Airport
Located in east Boston, Boston Logan International Airport is currently served by 56 scheduled and non scheduled air carriers — 45 are scheduled airlines, including 16 foreign carriers. It has domestic service to 76 destinations and international service to 33 destinations.

There are a variety of options for getting from Logan Airport to the downtown hotels.

Providence Rhode Island Airport
Located 59 miles from Boston, the T.F. Green Airport—airport code PVD—is serviced by several major airlines and offers an alternative to Boston Logan. 

Manchester New Hampshire Airport
Located about one-hour driving distance north of Boston, the Manchester New Hampshire Airport—airport code MHT—is a convenient alternative airport serving the greater Boston area. It offers easy access, competitive airfares, ample affordable parking and a growing schedule of non-stop and direct jet service. There are car rentals and shuttles available from this airport to Boston.

The Manchester Regional Airport is served by: Air Canada, Continental Airlines, Continental Connection, Continental Express, Delta Air Lines, Delta Connection COMAIR, Northwest Airlines, Southwest Airlines, United Airlines, United Express, US Airways and US Airways Express.

United Airlines has proudly been selected as the official airline for the 2007 BIO International Convention.

Train Options

Boston is served by two train stations: Amtrak Downeaster trains arrive and depart from Boston’s North Station;  all other Amtrak services in Boston depart from South Station and Back Bay Station.  

The Boston South Train Station is a short distance from the BCEC and downtown hotels. South Station is connected to Providence, Rhode Island, New Haven, Connecticut and New York City by Amtrak.
